Growing Up Canadian

A six part doumentary series

Growing Up Canadian offers a fresh look at the history of 20th century Canada. With humour and candour, Canadians of all ages and backgrounds recall the daily defeats and victories of growing up through years of challenge and change.

Exceptional archival film footage and photographs depict a Canada rarely seen before, capturing the lives of Canadian children from nose blowing drills at school in the 1920s, to the mother of all Hula Hoop competitions in the 1950s. Personal photos and home movies contribute to a unique record of a remarkable century.

Six hour long episodes: School, Health, Media, Family, Work and Play
